Why we disagree?

I was always inspired by the speeches of the great Swami Vivekananda.
His words are always alive. The speech "Why we disagree? " he gave in
the chicago parliament of religions is always relevant. Its been more
than  100 years  that he made his speech and still we all disagree. He
says in his speech "I am a Hindu. I am sitting in my own little well
and thinking that the whole world is my little well. The Christian
sits in his little well and thinks the whole world is his well. The
Mohammedan sits in his little well and thinks that is the whole world.
"

All the fanaticism in this world had come out of this narrow
mindedness. All of us are sitting in our own well of ignorance and not
even attempting to look at the vast sea of wisdom. The trade center
tragedy and the Mumbai attacks could be viewed in this context. The
terrorists backed by  the religious fundamentalists wants to disagree.
Its doubtful that they disagree for the sake of disagreement. The poor
people and the hungry youth are being exploited in the name of
misintrepreted scriptural quotes. The brainwashed youth of today are
misused to be part of underworld or terrorist groups.

Each of us create a world of limited thoughts thus being unable to
expand the doors of knowledge. Compassion and love has been novel
things for the present generation. They are in a hurry to make money
and to accept the immediate pleasure offers by those who exploit them.
The conditions can be changed only by a spiritual transformation of
the young people. They are not guided in the right way. The
educational system should be totally reformed and we should be able to
cultivate spiritual natioanilsm in their minds. Then only a healthy
tolerant society can be build.
